On the legendary Zagreb urban and sports location, on the edges of Maksimir forest, an ethereal glass object of the closed Olympic swimming pool is placed, which with architectural intervention, gives multiple new qualities to the existing urban and natural values. With a controlled and measured architectural gesture, a new elaborate pool complex with a series of pools of different characters and purposes was created on the site of the former open pool. With a rich spectrum of accompanying sports and public facilities, is skilfully intertwined into a perfectly functioning sports, social and public complex, intended for athletes and citizens, visitors and passers-by. The precise filigree steel structure and meticulously shaped glass envelope turn the large body of the hall into an airy and open central link. This draws the surrounding nature into itself through transparent walls and reflecting water surfaces and experientially connects the forested north and residential urbanity of the south, Maksimir with Borongaj, forest with water, sport with city, exterior and interior.
