The passenger terminal is one of the best examples of Croatian architecture in recent years. Its appearance stands side by side with the world architectural works of airports. The building can be described from the bottom – the base is made in a modular network of skeletal reinforced concrete construction that carries a dynamic wavy envelope. The roof levitates above the core of the object in which the terminal contents are architecturally organized by the most modern design methods. The interior is bright, with large-format ceramic floor tiles and glazed freestanding prisms that house various contents, such as shops and catering facilities. A special feature inside is the structure of the roof lattice steel construction, like a lace network. The facades are opened with large glass surfaces towards the environment. To the north, you can see Medvednica and the outlines of Zagreb, and to the south the access areas and forest.
