As a building of workers of the company “Kemikalija”, built in the first half of the 50s  of the 20th century, it is an exceptional architectural achievement that goes beyond the frames of then-standard residential production. Innovations are a suspended glass facade that lets plenty of sun and greenery into the interior of the building, spacious living rooms with dining areas, and street and courtyard lodges. All of them, with the top development and execution of each detail, have ensured today’s residents of Svačićev Square number 14, rarely achieved quality of living, characterising individual housing, in the very centre of the. Brilliant neighbouring examples of Croatian residential architecture of the same block continued with Galić’s successful realization, concluding a significant architectural ensemble at its most sensitive part, the corner. The building is an individually protected cultural property.
