The Lanište kindergarten thematizes multi-meaning transitions through a series of parallel zones that gradate intimacy, i.e., separation from public space (highway to the north), through the social spaces of the kindergarten, transversely communicating pairs of stays with attached atriums, to the fragmented outdoor space. At the time of its creation, the project wanted to compensate for the uniformity of the settlement and make up for the missing focus. The realized kindergarten now becomes part of the pluralism of Lanište. The focus is the intersection of two vertical access routes that continue as cracks through the kindergarten; one binds vertical communications and articulates the separation of two basic zones, north and south. Vertically on it extends the direction that on the ground floor connects the access square with the yard, and on the floor is the administrative block that covers the access and penetrates the zone of stays establishing control over the internal and external spaces. The undersized plot necessitated a deviation from the optimal ground floor organization by raising it to the floor, compressing the units in width and pulling to the north, thereby achieving an area for outdoor playgrounds and green islands.
